Book structure:
In the first two units, students will create a teaching unit that will review the material covered so far at the B2 level and will be used as an assessment test or exam. In the following four units, students will complete a final project involving the development and creation of four text types: descriptive, narrative, argumentative, and expository, related to the topic covered in each learning sequence. The final four units address the different skills students need to be communicatively competent. They introduce various grammatical concepts that may be useful for a student at this level and conclude with a proposal for assessing the different competencies.
The teaching units include the following types of activities:
Tasks: activities to achieve a goal or result; learning for action.
Language activities: through oral and written interactions, listening and reading comprehension, oral and written expression; learning to use.
Learning activities: where content is presented and practiced; learning.
Activities for reflecting on learning; learning to learn.
Games or recreational activities; learning while having fun.
